Cultural Attractions

La Patum of Berga (Berga)

  • Dates: During Corpus Christi week (May or June).
  • Description: Traditional festival declared an Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. It combines fire, music, and iconic figures like giants and eagles. It is a unique spectacle that attracts thousands of people every year.

 

Solsona's Festa Major (Solsona)

  • Dates: Around September 8th.
  • Description: Patronal festival in honor of the Virgin of the Cloister, with giants, trabucaires (traditional blunderbuss shooters), traditional dances, and much more. A major cultural event in the region.

 

Cardona Medieval Fair (Cardona)

  • Dates: First weekend of September.
  • Description: A medieval market with historical reenactments, tournaments, and street performances. Cardona completely transforms to take you back to the medieval era.

 

Sant Llorenç de Morunys Festa Major

  • Dates: Early August.
  • Description: The town's major festival with events for all ages.

Carnival of Solsona (Solsona)

  • Dates: February (variable dates).
  • Description: One of the most original carnivals in Catalonia, known for its "crazy giants" and the satirical hanging of the donkey from the bell tower. It is a popular and fun festival with great participation. Which will be our coliving dress?

 

Tàrrega Theater Fair

  • Dates: Early September.
  • Description: A street theater fair in Tàrrega featuring a wide variety of performances throughout the city. More than 150 different in 4 days, and also live music at nights.

 

Santa Tecla Fair (Berga)

  • Dates: Late September.
  • Description: Historic livestock fair with over 800 years of tradition. It includes a large livestock show as well as cultural and festive activities during the weekend.

 

Gastronomic Days of Trumfo and Truffle Cuisine (Solsonès)

  • Dates: Late February - March.
  • Description: Days dedicated to local gastronomy, focusing on the trumfo (potato) and truffle, ingredients typical of the area. Several restaurants offer special menus during this period.
